Man, I love Spring. March, April, May – it doesn’t get much better! I woke up Friday morning feeling magical. Even though I still had one midterm, I knew Spring Break started THAT day. I made an A on the midterm by the way. After that, I was *supposed* to pack, but my friend Fondren called me and I couldn’t resist doing something much more fun. It was a gorgeous day and we took full advantage of it! After a delicious lunch at Farmhouse Eats & Sweets, we ended up on a long road trip in pursuit of a recycling center. THAT didn’t work out, but we had a lot of fun in the process. Also, Fondren introduced me to Starbucks Passion Fruit Lemonade, and now I will forever be in her debt!
Later that evening, the boyfriend and I caught a play at Mildred’s Umbrella and then sat in the park watching two miniature planes duel it out. It was really cool, but you’d have to have been there. Friday was a great start to Spring Break.
The weekend was lazy, which was okay because that’s usually the only time I let myself just chill. I really didn’t do anything Saturday and Sunday, except for sleep in late, watch Hulu, and play on my computer. Ugh – looking back, it makes me feel like such a couch potato!! At least we went out for dinner and to see a movie with Mike Saturday…so I did leave the house!
I don’t really know what the rest of my Spring Break looks like, but I’m insanely happy nonetheless. I have a consultation with the oral surgeon today, and if I can, I’m going to get all 4 wisdom teeth pulled this week so I don’t have to miss any school. JOY. I’m not really expecting that he’ll have an opening so soon. This whole process has been one huge headache (toothache ahem) but that’s a whole ‘nother story. I’m not planning anything until I find out today when my appointment will be. I want to do so much though! I’d love to hang out with friends and loved ones, of course. But I also want to go to the beach, maybe a road trip, go see Alice in Wonderland 3-D, try some new stuff in the kitchen, go shopping and get a haircut, go out for karaoke, celebrate Saint Patrick’s day, have a game night, get ahead on some projects I haven’t had time for, etc etc. This week is giving me a taste for summer vacation and I love it! Of course…I plan on working this summer, but at least there’ll be no school right? (fingers crossed on that one)
Here’s hoping this Spring Break is everything I hope it to be and more!
I’m really loving your blog, Ashley. I’m actually in the middle of starting one myself. So excited.
I kinda wish we had talked more when I was still at Sam — I think we have a lot in common!
Anyway, keep it up! I’ll keep reading!
Thanks for the sweet comment, Mikah! I’m so glad you enjoyed my blog. Good luck on yours – let me know when you start up and I’ll definitely check it out. Were you a vegetarian at Sam??
I wasn’t a vegetarian at Sam but I started experimenting with it my senior year. Now I’m a vegan. I just finished the first post. Yay! http://www.positivelyveg.com/
It’s not going to fully be a personal blog like yours, but have more of a vegan angle (you probably got that from the title, ha.)
Yay! Looks great, I will definitely keep reading. Good luck!
